Synology DS925+ Deals – Prime Big Deal Days 2026
The DS925+ is Synology's current 4-bay Plus: Ryzen V1500B, 4GB ECC memory, two 2.5GbE ports and two M.2 slots. Its neo+ twin has the same platform with non-ECC memory, and the older DS923+ is still sold in places. This page compares the three at today's Amazon.com prices, then fills the DS925+ with drives.

Verdicts: Our tracked low is at or below the lowest price we recorded before today; within 3% is close to it; cut vs list only is below Amazon's reference price but above our low; no history yet means we make no claim. The 90-day line shades the event days. Was prices are Amazon's reference prices.
The HGST Ultrastar 12TB at $329.99 is our tracked low: the lowest we recorded was $330.00 on Oct 5, from every new CMR 12TB NAS drive we track. Of 7 rows, 3 are at or near our low, 0 are cut only against Amazon's list price, 0 cost more than usual, and 4 have no history yet. Synology's Amazon.com reference price for the DS925+ is above what it normally sells for, so we only call it a deal against our own record. Hard drive prices have risen through 2026 on AI datacenter demand (why hard drives cost more in 2026), so a price that only matches our low is a better outcome than in an ordinary year.

Frequently asked questions
DS925+ or DS925neo+?
They share the CPU, bays, network and M.2 slots. The DS925+ starts with ECC memory; the neo+ with non-ECC. Buy whichever is cheaper unless ECC matters to you.
Is the DS923+ still worth buying?
When we checked, it was only listed with drives bundled, so it is not priced here. On its own it has 1GbE and a dual-core CPU; the DS925+ is the better buy at a similar price.
Will cheaper third-party drives work in a DS925+?
They spin up and store data, but DSM flags drives missing from Synology's list for this model and support may decline related cases. The DS925+ drive page explains the restriction before you fill the four bays.
Can the DS925+ transcode for Plex?
It has no integrated GPU, so Plex transcodes in software. It suits direct play; for transcoding, a Quick Sync model is better.
